The Moon Township Branding process had many challenges. Some of them included a predetermined color palette, no past identity, unwillingness to be related to the airport, and a wide variety of opinions regarding how the town should be represented. These challenges created an opportunity for me to try and be creative as possible within the color scheme. Without any real direction the mind can take a project in many directions. These samples were some of the final concept versions of an identity. My personal favorite is the Moon Township with the bridge. The bridge represents so much of the general Piitsburgh area aswell as the sewickley bridge which connects Moon Township to Sweickley. I believe bridges in general are very symbolic for strength and progress which is what Moon Township is seeking. A brighter future and a bridge to a new representation of their community.
