The DOGS page on Facebook has reached more than 4.2 million fans. As a result, the organization (two young men) have decided to create a company that will generate revenue through the site. Their goal is to create designed templates of posters, photobooks, frames, etc., for their customers to use with photos of their own dogs.
Create a logo and design elements for the company.
To create a recognizable icon that users of the site can associate with and grow to love. It had to be versatile enough to be used in many applications, in many colors. In creating the dog, I wanted to strip a dog's face down into its simplest shapes (the eyes, nose and ears) to bring out the playfulness of the animal, which then becomes the focal point for everything else.
